DESCRIPTION

PRODUCT :- MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA) is a single component specially formulated and blended chemical and oil to have releasing properties superior than conventional method.

PRODUCT PROPERTIES :-
Specific gravity - 0.820 – 0.825
Colour - Pale straw
Concentration - Ready to use. Stir well before every use.

It can be used with steam-cured concrete. It is non-staining and can be used with white cement.

WOODEN SURFACE :- 1 Ltr of MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA) is sufficient to cover an area of 500 to 600 sft on wooden plates depending on the surface. Already used wooden shutters will provide more coverage because such surface will not absorb the chemical.

STEEL SURFACE :- 1 Ltr of MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA) is sufficient to cover an area of above 700 sft on steel shutters depending on the surface.

SAFETY MEASURES :- Use gloves when handling MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA). Ensure good ventilation at application area and do not smoke during use. Flash point: 60°C.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :-
MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA) allows air to escape from the face when the concrete is poured and vibrated. Normally such air gets trapped and makes air pockets which cause imperfection and necessitating remedial work. The chemical reaction between MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA) and cement in concrete produces a strongly hydrophobic surface. This ripples surplus water at the interface with the mould and preserves uniformity of surface texture and colour.

Application of MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA) by sponge is recommended to avoid wastage.

USES

MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA) is used to get quick, clean and easy stripping of shutters/moulds which ensures fair faced concrete surfaces. MOULD RELEASE AGENT (MRA) reacts with alkali in the concrete to create a thin water repellent skin on the surface which enables the moulds to strip out easily. It also protects the form work (wooden or steel) and increases its life.
