DESCRIPTION

PRODUCT :- Single part, ready to use, acrylic polymer based water proof-cum-insulating-cum- protective coating system for external and internal application.

TYPICAL PROPERTIES :- Product: Single part & ready to use. (Mix well before every use), Solid content: 45% ±1%, Touch dry: 20 minutes, Full cure: 6 hours @30ºC, Colour: pure white. Water curing: Not required.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :-
Surface preparation :
Surface should be cleaned thoroughly by using wire brush and all loose particles, oil stains if any, dust, paint etc., should be removed and cleaned by sufficient quantity of water. Un-plastered, un-even surfaces or any cracks on the surface should be repaired to make it even for better bonding. Surface should be strong & sound.

Primer Coating : (for external application)
If the building is old and the surface is not clean, then a primer coating is recommended for a face lift before coating LEAKGUARD WALL COAT. The prepared surface should be moderately wet and water stagnation if any, should be removed. LEAKGUARD PRIMER to be applied uniformly by brush towards one direction to enable seal all micro-porosity on the surface and to provide proper mechanical properties for the final coat. Provide water curing after around 8 hours and continue it for 2 to 3 times every 4 hour intervals.

Mixing & Final Coating:
LEAKGUARD WALL COAT is high solid product and it requires proper mixing before application. Stir LEAKGUARD WALL COAT well by “agitating method” in the container itself and ensure that the settled down chemical portion is well mixed and formed a paint consistency. Take out the mixed LEAKGUARD WALL COAT to a bucket and start coating on the surface by brush. Though addition of water is not recommended, sprinkling of clean water at times and mixing it will help easy movement of brush. Two coats (vertical and horizontal) are recommended giving time gap of one hour.

Mixing & Final Coating:
Take out the liquid portion to a bucket and slowly add the powder while mixing is on. Mix both clockwise and anti-clockwise till a homogenous paint consistency liquid is formed. LEAKGUARD COLOUR COAT (F) is a solidified product and addition of up to 1 Ltr water per pack is recommended while mixing. Start applying on the primed surfaces by brush towards one direction. Re-dosing with water is not recommended. However, at times sprinkling of clean water can be done for free movement of brush, during application. Two coats (vertical and horizontal) are recommended.
